The original Chinese graphic presents APEX Solar’s March 2022 smart energy services: energy packages, residential photovoltaics, shared investment, design, construction and financing. The figures below describe that historical presentation.
Energy package (Nengyuanbao): commercial and industrial projects above 1MW, with smaller projects combined where appropriate. A referral partner develops rooftop projects, the business provides the roof and APEX Solar arranges investment and general contracting. The partner can undertake EPC work; the roof owner receives discounted electricity. The slide compares a three-day quotation and approximately one month to approval and construction with other processes exceeding three months. It also describes investment in full-grid-export projects above 5MW and construction progress payments.
Energy package requirements: clear property rights, no adverse credit history and complete payment documentation. Self-consumption projects are normally at least 1MW, with at least 85% self-consumption. Full-grid-export projects are at least 5MW, with roof rent no higher than RMB 3 per square metre and a roof meeting load requirements. Required documents include a business licence, legal representative’s identification, building and land ownership documents, one year of electricity bills and load curves, enterprise credit report, mortgage disclosure where applicable, two years of financial statements, site layout, structural drawings and the main electrical wiring diagram.
Shared package (Gongxiangbao): commercial and industrial projects below 1MW, developed by a referral partner on a business’s roof. The graphic describes investment and long-term service income. Its fee table shows service fees of 3 fen each year for years 1–6, operation and maintenance fees of 2 fen each year for years 1–6 and 4 fen each year for years 7–25, and 20–30% annual plant revenue for years 7–25. The table does not explicitly state the denominator of the fen rates.
The shared package’s illustrative 1MW example lists RMB 180,000 in service fees over the first six years, RMB 120,000 in operation and maintenance income over those years, RMB 760,000 in later operation and maintenance income, approximately RMB 3.32 million in plant income assuming average annual electricity revenue of RMB 700,000, and approximately RMB 120,000 in EPC income. Further slides round the partner’s 25-year income to about RMB 4.5 million, compared with RMB 200,000 in another model, and the business owner’s income to about RMB 4.75 million. These are the original presentation’s examples.
Shared package requirements: clear property rights, no adverse credit history, installed capacity above 300kW, complete payment documentation and annual electricity revenue above RMB 650,000. Supporting documents include the business licence, building and land certificates, electricity bills and load curves, enterprise credit report, applicable mortgage disclosure, two years of financial statements, site plan, structural drawings and electrical wiring diagram.
Financing package (Rongzibao): financing for an owner’s photovoltaic investment and construction. The graphic identifies advance funding, interest costs and equipment restrictions as common difficulties, and quotes funding costs around 6.5%. It also shows a financing amount of “2.5–3” without an explicit unit, adjusted for the project and electricity revenue coverage. The process diagram connects APEX Solar’s general contracting, payments to the smaller EPC contractor, plant acceptance and handover to the business owner.
Financing documentation is grouped by project company, parent company and legal representative or guarantor. It covers business registration, company charter, taxpayer and invoicing information, capital verification or investment receipts, property ownership, electricity records, credit reports, mortgage status, financial statements, bank statements, tax records, fixed assets and project drawings. Personal guarantor documents include credit reports, identity and household documents, marital status documentation, asset evidence, six months of bank statements, tax details and repayment records where relevant.
A comparison slide labels the energy package as third-party investment, the shared package as EPC investment and the financing package as owner investment. The design section displays company licences and electrical engineering qualifications. The construction section invites cooperation in commercial and industrial construction, project management and residential construction. The final slide invites partners to join APEX Solar. Small print within the photographed licences is not legible enough for a reliable transcription.
